Jewish communities across the globe have experienced an unprecedented rise in Antisemitism in the last few years-- and Canada is no exception. Alarmingly, many Canadians are not aware of the Nazis' atrocities during the Holocaust. These facts make Holocaust education a matter of urgency.
Join us for an examination of the most high profile, precedent-setting Canadian and international Holocaust denial cases-- the Zundel, Keegstra, and Lipstadt cases, which will inform a discussion of the current challenges posed by Holocaust denial and other forms of hate speech.
